Ingredients:

2 cups all purpose flour (we used cake flour)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbs. cocoa powder
2 cups white sugar
1 cup veg. oil (we used 2 sticks unsalted, melted butter)
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
2 ounces of red food coloring (we used 1 ounce...2oz is recommended)
1 tsp. white distilled vinegar
1/2 cup black coffee, hot and prepared (we used instant vanilla coffee)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Combined flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. mix intill combined.
combined sugar and oil (or melted butter is you're using it) together in a seperate bowl.
mix in eggs, buttermilk, vanilla, and red food coloring. Mix well
Then add in vinegar and coffee. Mix well.
Incorporate dry ingredients, little by little untill well combined.
Grease and flour two 8 or 9 inch round pans. Add batter evenly.
Bake for 30-45 minuets or untill toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool completely on wire rack.
Frost using cream chesse frosting (we used ducan hines cream cheese frosting)

I have my unit in the color #1b. This unit is 100% futura fibers so it can be curled or straightened up to 400 degrees. The length is around 20-24", loose curl/wave at the top and spiral curls at the bottom. It also has lots of layering throughout the unit and bangs. About 3-4" of parting space in the designated area and around 2" of parting space ear to ear. The lace is the standard "hard" synthetic french lace with baby hair arounfd the perimeter. In the video, I didn't mention that this DOES come with the extra lace that needs to be cut off unlike some of the Invisible Part Series.

Purchased this unit from MiMiBeautyLine.comI have my wig in the color #2. The hairs length is around 10-12". Very full and thick. The texture is in a spiral/kinky curl which mimics natural hair. It has around 2" of parting space from ear to ear. The lace is made out of the standard "hard" synthetic french lace.
This unit didn't last very long. I havent worn it much, but because of manipulating the hair a lot, it is now extremely frizzy and unflattering.
I will have to say this wig will last you 2-4 weeks depending on the amount of manipulating you apply to the unit!

PROS: Very natural looking, light weight, looks like natural textured hair, full, snug fit, true to color, no synthetic shine, course texture.

CONS: Gets extremely frizzy, grows 5 times the regular size when manipulated, sheds, tangles, hairline unnatural, mattes at nape.

Rating: 7.5

Will I purchase again: No, not my cup of tea! However very pretty!

My unit is in the color #2. It is around 20-22" long, loose spiral curl, layers. This unit has about 2 1/2-3" of parting space ear to ear.
I wore this wig non stop!!! This wig wig last you around 2-4 weeks depending how you care for your unit. I take good care of mines so it lasted about 3 weeks.

PROS: Gorgeous style, very soft, excellent looking hairline, decent amount of parting space, no synthetic shine, pretty curls, minimal shedding, true to color, snug fit, received lots of complements, realistic looking.

CONS: A bit thin, tangles, mattes at nape, too long, a little too bouncy, unless paddled brushed the curls will bunch up together.

I order my unit in the color #1. This wig is around 10-14" long, loose natural curl/wave with layers framing the face.
This unit is ver soft and mimics natural and relaxed african american hair.
This is one of those units where the frizzier it gets the better it looks. So it seems to last much longer than most units because it begins to look more and more natural with each day.
I wore this unit RELIGIOUSLY (lol) and I still wear as if I just purchased it. Because I wear it so much, I never feel like storing it in a safe place or taking the best care of it. That pretty much means, It last for a long time for the price of the unit!

PROS: Last for a LONG time, natural looking, nice length, resembles natural hair, easy to blend with relaxed or natural hair, nice style, decent fit, comfortable combs.

CONS: A "tad" bit on the shinier side (simular to Sensationnel wigs), tangles, mattes, sheds, frizzes up quickly, can start looking boxy after a while.

Rating: 8.5

Ive been wearing this unit periodically for the last 2 weeks. As of today, November 8, 2011 it is still in wearable condition. This wig may last you 2-4 weeks with excellent wig care.

PROS: Very cute fall style, Nice legnth, gorgeous curls, decent amount of parting space, nice hair quality, soft.

CONS: Slight synthetic shine, designated parting space, very cone headish, unrealistic hairline, stringy, tangles, mattes at nape, colors runs very dark, fits very small.

I received my unit in the color # 1b, in silky straight (non yaki), light brown lace, glueless cap, human remy, cap size 1.
I wore this unit continuosly and the hair is still in excellent condition as of November 8, 2011! I am sure this unit will last quite a long time simply due to the fact the the construction is very good and the quality of the hair is human remy.

PROS: Can be parted any and everywhere, Can be worn without adhering it down, very soft, easy to style, decent density, minimal tangling, soft lace.

CONS: Caps size fit a little too big, color too light (1b resembled a 4), lots of flyaways, frizzes, hair mattes together unless brushed, smelled like chemicals, sheds, becomes stringy looking, ends start looking ratty after heat was applied.

This is a tight curl/wave style with an invisible part of 3" on the right side of your temple. It also has 1" of parting space on the other side.

I wore this unit off an on and it is still in excellent condition. For those who wear their units everyday, this unit may last about 2 weeks with great wig care.

PROS: Very cute style, nice texture, beautiful curls, 3" of parting space, nice fit, decent hairline, no synthetic shine, true to color, ability to get bigger and better.

CONS: Hard itchy lace in the front, airy parting space (goes away with wear), gets frizzy, tangles, designated parting area (cant part anywear), coned at the top.

I wore this unit a few times. This unit lasted me about 2-3 weeks. If you are someone who wears the same units continuosly, this may last you a week.

PROS: Looks like human hair, resembles relaxed african american hair, no syntheic shine, french soft lace.

CONS: Too small/tight, only 2" of parting space, hair very stiff, cant hold curls very well, wig lace will flip up unless you adhere it down, tangles, mattes, sticks/bunches together, tracks detectable.

This purchase is from HairWigHarlem I got this piece in a beautiful color #4. Its around 18" long, layered spiral curls that frame the face creating a Kim Kardashian look.
It has around 2-3" of parting space from temple to temple and around 1-2" of parting space from temple to ear.
The cap on this unit is very small, so take note of that. Other than that, this unit is gorgeous, light weight, full and very soft!
Ive been wearing this hair on and off and it is still in wearable condition. If you are someone who wears the same unit everyday, this hair may last you up to 2-3 weeks.

PROS: Very decent hairline, Hair very soft, gorgeous curls, one of the best densities Ive experienced (bss hair), nice style, minimal shedding.

This wig was sent to me for my honest review from Especially Yours.
This wig is 50% Human hair, 50% Heat resistant synthetic fibers. The style is a lace front wig natural bob (Resembles Michelle Obama's Hair!)
Its around 5" in the back and 13" in the front. I recieved mine in the color 1b which resembles and very pretty dark brown. It has around 2 1/2"-1" of parting space ear to ear. (Photo shown was taken after I placed curls in it)
Ive been wearing this unit on and off for the last 3 weeks. It is still in excellent condition! If you are someone who wear the same unit continuosly, this may last you about 4-6 weeks with excellent wig care.

PROS: Very soft, versitile, realistic hairline, comfortable, human and futura hair blend, nice texture, minimal tangling.

CONS: Sheds, sits high on head, seems bulky, doesn't frame the face, no combs in the back, front combs placed too high on head, not a lot of parting space, velcro straps pulls hair.

PROS: Very full, soft, gorgeous curl/wave pattern, drawstring, snug fit, nice soft hilights (if colored), versitile, didn't notice much shedding.

After about a month of wear, on and off, this wig is in "okay" condition. If you are someone who wears the same wig day to day, this wig will last you about 2-3 weeks with great wig care.

Pros: Looks very natural, soft texture, looks better with time, very minimal shedding, easily curls with low temp setting..

Cons: Very thin, tangles in nape, with excessive paddle brushing, becomes matted looking, does not last a very long time.

I haven't got a chance to really wear this wig too much, therefore it is still in "new" condition, but if you are someone who may wear this wig on the day to day bases, this wig might last you about 3-4 weeks, with great wig care.

Pros: Very soft, minimal shedding, minimal tangeling, pretty color, drawstring for perfect fit.

Cons: Grows bigger when finger combed, excessive finger combing causes this unit to look matted, looks a bit bulky.

I received this hair in color #1 and in 12 inches. This is silky straight textured hair. I used this hair to make a quick weave wig, using the semi weave method as usual. I made the wig early May and still wearing it today. This hair lasts a good amount of time with regular washes and great hair care. If you are someone who expects to install this hair in, you may get a month of wear if greatly taken care of.

PROS: Soft, tangle free, lasts a good amount of time, has a healthy shine.

CONS: Can become matted at the ends if not well taken care of, doesn't hold a curl for very long, has a weave smell after being washed, sheds very easily after wefts has been cut.

This unit features 100% flat iron safe futura fibers, baby hairs located in the front and rear of the wig, making it easy to wear an updo style and a natural hairline. This unit allows you approx 1 inch of parting space.
I haven't got a chance to wear this wig too much, therefore it is still in "new" condition, but of you are someone who wears the same wig continuously, this wig may last you about 1-2 months with great wig care.

Pros: Very soft, true to color, minimal shedding, minimal tangeling, has a natural/not too shiny look.

Cons: Doesn't look too much like the picture, seems a bit flat unless "played" with, not a whoe lot of parting space to create a realistic looking style.

PROS: Gorgeous style, nice texture, nice color deposit, snug fit, beautiul curls, can be worn in a updo style, true to color, minimal shedding, futura.

PROS: Multi purpose, deep cleaning, leaves skin feeling very clean, removes toxins and impurities, helps with blemish and black head removal, comparable to other expensive exfoliants, works in water, strong, great value.

CONS: A bit on the heavy side, difficult to remove batteries, can cause minor break outs.

This unit is about 14-16" of layered loose body curls with a long layered side bang. It also has approximately an inch and a half of parting space. I started wearing this wig later April, and with non continuous wear, this wig is still in perfect condition. If you are someone who wears the same wig on daily bases, you may get about a couple of months uses from this wig.

PROS: Soft, quick and easy style, has decent amount of parting space, minimal shedding to be expected, stretch side panels, adjustable straps for secure fit, runs true to color.

CONS: Tangles, has a synthetic shine, may need to add makeup to achieve a realistic part, flat/not as full as pictured.

This wig was sent to me from HairHoneys.com I received this hair in a color #2. This wig is about 16" of loose curls, and layered flips creating a layered face framing side bang like look. I have not really had the chance to get a good feel for this wig, but so far I do have a few pros and cons...

PROS: Very soft, runs true to color, have not experienced tangling, very minimal shedding to be expected, snug fitted cap, nice and easy style.

CONS: Cap appears to be bulky at the top of the wig, very shinny, excessive brushing will cause this unit to look frizzy, has a syntheticy over all look.

PROS: Very nice style, soft, nice fit, has nice volume and fullness, decent length, natural looking, no synthetic shine, decent size combs, adjustable straps, decent color, gets better with manipulation and time, easy to blend with natural and relaxed hair.

CONS: Sheds a lot, tangles, mattes at nape, bit of frizz, doesn't look like model pic straight out the pack.

FAIRWEATHER BRUSHES WITH FACE CHARTS

Okay you guys...I was given the opportunity to try out these brushes from the FairWeather Faces collection! First off, right out the pack, I was amazed how nice these brushes looked! I was also amazed on how SOFT these brushes felt. I was like..."Dang, these are HOTT!!!" But anyway, the most important thing is...Quality!
Now, I did run into a little something something that kind of disappointed me a bit...In the Color Coded Mini Brush Kit, the eyeshadow brush that is color coded in the green and blue, head fell off...It was actually very loose when I opened my package and eventually fell off :-( Not exactly sure if this was a result due to the whole postal and handling system, or the fact that my neighbors had it for a few days, but the package was a little dented and the head was off. Also, the powder brush which is color coded in yellow was a little loose as well. I'm not sure what happened, but after washing the powder brush, it actually pieced itself back together. It is no longer loose. But as for the eyeshadow brush, I may have to add some glue to this one...A little disappointed with that. But on a good note, the Professional Brush set is VERY high quality! Definitely competition with other high end makeup brushes. However, I didn't find any of them to be dupes, which is great in my opinion!
I can't wait to try out the brushes as well as create a look using the face chart that was given to me. By then, I will be able to update you guys on my feelings about these brushes and face charts. Really excited!

I started wearing this wig in early March with non continuous wear and great wig care and this wig lasted about about 1-2 weeks. If you are someone who wears wigs continuously, this wig may not be for you.

PROS: Inexpensive, adjustable straps, decent size combs, nice style, soft, minimal shedding, decent length.

CONS: Tangles very badly, mattes at nape, shiny fibers, curls dropped, bulky oversized cap, doesn't last for a long amount of time, stringy looking after finger combing, flat, no volume or body.

1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar has Anti bacterial properties which helps with the cleaning of pores, removal of excess oils and bacteria, helping treat age spots and discolored skin patches.

2 tsp Green Tea (Hot Tea that's been cooled to room temp.)
Green Tea contains a potent of antioxidants which helps fight free radicals. Free radicals are the toxins from radiation which causes premature aging of the skin.

1 tsp Honey
Honey contains antioxidant properties. It is also anti-bacterial. Honey helps with clearing the skin, tightening pores, reducing premature aging and reducing oil.

Sugar is a natural exfoliant which brightens up the complexion, creating smooth skin, eliminating blemishes and restoring the balance of skins oils.

TONER:

1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
(Benefits listed above)

2/3 cup Green Tea (Hot Tea that's been cooled to room temp.)

1. Cleanse skin with your normal facial wash. I use African Black Soap. Leave skin semi-damp.

2. Apply the exfoliant to your hands and in circular motions, gently massage the exfoliant into your skin for about 3 minutes avoiding eye area and concentrating on areas that need special attention. Leave the exfoliant on your skin for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and towel/paper towel dry.

3. With a cotton pad, apply a small amount of toner then swipe it onto your skin concentrating on areas that need special attention. Avoid eye area. Allow 2 minutes to dry.

4. Apply your usual moisturizer.

5. (Optional) Spot Treat with plain white toothpaste. (This works very good)

You will notice softer skin instantly and clearer/brighter skin within 2 weeks. Exfoliate twice a week. Toner may be used every night. Store in fridge. Expires in 14 days.

Other helpful additions:

Lemon: Helps with brightening complexion
Olive Oil: Helps with dry skin and will not clog pores
Tea Tree Oil: Helps preserve so product last longer

Nye's Hair Journey Product Run Down!

Nye has been 100% natural since Early January 2011. These are some of the products we use to get her hair back and maintain proper health!

An Excellent Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo we've been using is by Creme Of Nature. I cant find this product for the life of me anymore...If anyone knows where I can get this or know of anything similar, PLEASE let us know! This was by far the best shampoo we've gotten our hands on. Talk about Detangling while shampooing! Also cleansing the hair and scalp without the use of sulfates! This product is very much missed! However, what we've been using as a replacement shampoo is by Herbal Essences called Hello Hydration. This provides a balanced amount of moisturizer on her hair. However, it doesn't do the trick to mine! This is also not the best detangling shampoo, but its been our "Go To" product as far as shampooing.

I believe that Co-Washing is very important especially if the shampoo didn't provide enough conditioning powers to help detangle. As a conditioner/co-wash we use the sister to the Hello Hydration Shampoo, Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner! This has to be one of the BEST moisturizing conditioners we've tried yet! I as well use this on my hair. This product provides an excellent amount of moisturizing benefits to help with conditioning the hair, manageability and softness. We love this product!

Generally a Deep Condition is what provides the "extras" to your hair! The "extras" pretty much means, strength, repair and moisture. With the help of heat, the hairs shaft will swell allowing conditioner to enter the hairs cuticles. With that being done, the hair is more resilient to breakage and helps with length retention. It also helps with elasticity of the hair. A great deep conditioner for us is one of 2 products! As a softer protein treatment, Nye uses ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Pak! This is a staple for myself as well as Nye. This product has a lot to do with the healing of her damaged hair. As a harder protein treatment, Nye uses ORS Hair Mayonnaise! This is used once a month to once every month and a half. Sometimes we skip the hair mayonnaise altogether. This provides a substantial amount of protein to help with severe breakage! A harder protein treatment usually goes hand and hand for hair that is about to take on extreme chemical processing. Its great to put in what chemicals take out, however, Nye is natural! This is great for hair that needs to become more thicker and stronger!

A product that we have came accustomed to is the Jane Carter Solution Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner. This is one of those products where you can either spray in on after a deep conditioning treatment or spray in on to refresh your hair. Either way, it detangles, softens, penetrates the shaft and seals. This is a product that works great with Nye's hair but not very good with mines.

As a lite weight moisturizer, Nye has been using SoftSheen-Carson Wave Nouveau. This product is a water based lite weight moisturizer great for softening the hairs coils providing shine and movement. Although I believe this product might be for natural hair within the 3c type (wavy) this works pretty good with Nye's hair as well as my own. We really like this product!

Last but definitely not lease is Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In conditioner repair cream. GREAT PRODUCT!!! If you need softness, here it is! If you need moisture, here it is! If you need a product good for braid/twist outs, here it is! No matter what your hair type is, this product is AWESOME! From root to ends it provides extreme moisture benefits. With water being the first ingredient and Shea butter being the second, this products works wonders on both Nye's and my hair! One thing that we've noticed is manageability! Combing the hair has been much easier with Cantu on her hair. With good manageability, that means no breaking of the hair and easy styling! Also softness! That means her hair is well conditioned and moistured pretty good. This product has become a staple!

Along with any shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer, you need a great sealer! Grapeseen Oil has been our choice of oils for Nye's hair. Its delicate, it absorbs the fastest, it leave little to no build up, it. This oil is great as a start. Then transition into other oils if you feel the need. As of right now, Nye's hair is perfect for grapeseed oil due to the fact that she sometimes endure heat appliances. Grapeseed oil is also a great natural heat protectant!

This is Nye's product regimen that got her hair back up to health. Now that she is fully natural, we are trying out new products more on the 'natural' side like pure Shea butter and a variety of great carrier and essential oils. We will let you know once we have established a working regimen.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil Hot Oil Treatment With Garlic On 8 Month Relaxer Stretched Hair

Where do I start...I was researching a hot oil treatment on YouTube when I found a very informative video by Nunaavane (Love her channel) anyways, she uses EVOO that is infused with garlic. The Garlic is for those who needs a little help with shedding. I don't have a problem with shedding, however, I fear that being my next issue...So I add garlic to my hairs regimen every now and then just to make sure all is good up there :-)
Okay, lets skip to the chase...Hot oil treatment is said to condition severely dry, damaged hair helping to treat breakage. There are many types of oils that will work with your hair...For example:
EVOO is great as it penetrates the hair and scalp, taming frizz, and adding moisture.
Virgin Coconut Oil is great for those with dry, itchy scalps, adding moisture as it penetrates the hairs shaft while trapping in proteins adding softness.
Grape seed Oil is the lightest of the 3 (perfect for relaxed or fine hair) This oil doesn't penetrate the hair, however, it does adsorb into the hairs shaft the fastest leaving little buildup/not weighing down your hair adding moisture and shine. All 3 oils stimulates the scalp helping with blood flow which wakes up sleeping follicles and provides healthy growth.

This what I do:
I first create my Garlic Tea Bag using minced or chopped fresh garlic. You can use garlic gloves or powder, but I have never done it that way. I cut open the top of a tea bag and empty out the contents. I then add in a Teaspoon of my minced garlic. After that, I staple the top of my teabag shut so none of the garlic escapes and gets into my hair.
Now I prepare my Hot Oil Treatment. I use EVOO. (How much to use depends on the thickness of your hair) I use about 1/3 cup of EVOO with about 1/4 cup of grape seed oil. I also use an essential oil to camouflage the stench (YES! You will reek of garlic) So about 12 drops of whatever essential oil that smells nice to you. I use Clove Oil. I then microwave my oil mix for about 2 minutes or until it reaches a desired temperature. DO NOT OVER HEAT!!! Next I drop in my garlic tea bag and allow it to infuse my oils! (Smells like an Italian restaurant at this point!) I like it to sit in the oils for about 5 minutes. At this time you should shampoo your hair before your treatment. I like using Pert Plus Deep 2 in 1 before doing this, that way detangling is a lot more easier. Clarifying makes it much more difficult.
After shampooing, towel dry your hair. (Hair may still be damped.) I usually heat up my oils once again to my desired temp. I then section the hair and start at the nape area and apply the treatment using a color/perm applicator brush. You may have more left over. I like to use enough to coat and condition my entire head, but not too much where its running down my face and neck.
Once that is applied, either take a plastic bag, shower cap or Saran plastic wrap to wrap or cover your hair. You may need 2 bags! I use Saran wrap so I can trap in heat better. I then use an extra shower cap just in case the oils want to try to escape! To assure you are getting the maximum benefits of your treatment, wrap your hair in another scarf or bonnet for a few hours/while you sleep or sit underneath a dryer for 15-20 minutes. After you had enough of the foul smelling, greasy, hot treatment, rinse your hair AVOIDING shampooing your hair. Shampooing will defeat the purpose of your treatment because shampoos strip your hair of oils...
I C0-Wash my hair simply because I STINK!!! I also like to deep condition my hair using a protein base conditioner. (This is what I need for my hair! If your hair doesn't need it, DO NOT DO IT!!!) I use ORS Hair Mayonnaise. This really strengthens my hair. This is the way my hair looks after the treatment without blowing it out...Look at all the shine! My hair was extremely manageable and soft. Combing my hair was such a breeze!!!
This is my hair after I blow dried it on cool with no heat. The only product in my hair at this point is a leave-in by Jane Carter Solutions which I sprayed on before blow drying. Look how full it looks! It was so soft and thick. The texture was improved as well. Check out the back...
I really recommend doing this treatment at least once a month. If your hair can do without the garlic, skip it! The 3 benefits I got from this treatment was, softness, shine, and manageability. I also experienced more body and fullness and movement, however, that might have been from the deep conditioner.
So far, my hair has experienced little to no shedding thanks to the garlic dosage. I am satisfied with my results and I will be adding this into my regimen! I'm on my 8th month relaxer stretch/transitional phase. I am stretching to mid May to make my stretch an even 1 year or I will be big chopping and going natural at that point. Whatever I choose to do is whats best for my hair!

MilkyWay Indian Loose Deep Wet & Wavy Weaving Hair

This hair was sent to me from Mimibeautyline.com I received this hair in a color #2. The hair I used is 12 and 14" in length of loose deep curls, made into a quick weave wig. I began wearing this hair early January, and with non continuous wear, this hair lasted me about 1 month with great hair care. If you are someone who plan on having this hair installed, you could get more uses out of this hair if you take precautions on what you put into this hair. Only put water onto it!

PROS: Very soft, can be straightened, and will return back to its wavy style with water, true to color, durable

CONS: Didn't last me a long time, sheds, became stiff after a few washes, tangles and mattes.

I received this wig in the color #2. This unit is about 20-22" long, loose body curls (Kim Kardashian like) style around 1/2"-1" of parting space.
I began wearing this wig early January 2011. With non continuous wear and great wig care, this wig may last you around 1 month. If you are someone who wears your wig continuously, this wig may last you about 2-3 weeks with great wig care.

PROS: Very soft, nice style, decent length, true to color, minimal amount of shedding, very full, great value.

CONS: Gets frizzy, tangles, cap size a bit loose, mattes at nape area, not a lot of lace or parting space, lace itchy, curls will drop.

My Prior Preparation For Hair Relaxer Day

Now normally I stretch my relaxer for up to 17 weeks, or until I cannot stretch any more. But because my birthday and new years day are just around the corner, and I do not plan on wearing a full protective style, I will be relaxing my new growth. My last relaxer was in late September. So as of today (12/22) I am 13 weeks post, which is still pretty good in my opinion! In this post, I will be listing what I do to prepare my hair for a relaxer. Please note, the products specified are what works for me from experience!

First before any treatment services are applied to my hair, I shampoo my hair either using the ApHogee Shampoo for Damaged hair or a clarifying shampoo. This particular time I used a clarifying shampoo because I was out of the shampoo for damaged hair. I do 2 washes to assure myself that my hair is completely clean and free of any product buildup.

Then I do a protein treatment on my hair ONCE 7 days before relaxing. I use a mixture of ApHogee's 2 Step Protein Treatment and ApHogee's Treatment for Damaged Hair. Reading the instruction and ingredient content, I believe that these two products are very close in similarities. Both products are magnesium and modified protein infused which activates with heat into the hair follicles, making your hair extremely hard and reduces the possibility for breakage when combed or brushed for up to 6 weeks, even between washes and everyday manipulation. "I" mix the two products together because "I" noticed that I gotten better results other then using 1 or the other alone.

I apply the ApHogee 2 step protein treatment/ApHogee treatment for damaged hair generously to my hair, lightly comb it through for even distribution, then sit under a dryer until my hair is extremely hard. I then let it sit for 30 additional minuets to an hour before I rinse the product out. (NOTE: These products STINK!!)

Once all of the protein treatments are removed from my hair, I then use the ApHogee's Balancing Moisturizer. This product is crucial if you are doing treatment services. It helps correct and restore your hairs pH and moisture balance. High protein treatments can strip your hair of its moisture causing it to become hard and fragile to breakage. Using the balancing moisturizer helps seal in moisture which is essential for the strength and elasticity of healthy hair.

I apply the moisturizer to my hair, put on a plastic shower cap and allow it to penetrate my hair for an hour then thoroughly rinse out.

After that I then apply the Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Deep Conditioning Replenishing Pak to my hair, re apply my plastic shower cap/scarf, and allow that to sit in my hair over night. This process reassures me that I am getting the proper moisture nourishment I need to be confident that I wont be dry or endure any breakage.

Now finally, I rinse the conditioner out, allow my hair to air dry (I usually do this on my off days from work/school) then braid my hair into two sections. My hair will remain in the 2 braids with little to no manipulation, until relaxer day just to avoid any burning to my scalp. In the meanwhile, I wear my hair in protected style (wigs...) until then.

It's A Wig Lace Front Bright

I purchased this wig from SamsBeauty.com. I have this wig in the color #2. It is about 16" long, loose curl.
I started wearing this wig in early January. Without continuous wear, this wig lasted about 2-3 weeks with great wig care. If you are someone who wear the same wig continuously, this wig may last about a 1-2 weeks with great wig care.

PROS: Good value, true to color, decent length, snug fit, very soft.

CONS: Very thin, curls very loose, some pieces of the hair didn't have a curl and was straight, 1/2" of parting space, lace was shiny, tracks were detectable, adjustable strap broke, lace very hard, frizzed up within one day of wear, no volume or body, tangled very much at the nape, hair shed.

Sensationnel HZ-T007 Lace Top Wig

I purchased this wig from samsbeauty.com. I received this wig in a color #2. This wig is about 14-16" of medium sized curls. I began wearing this wig mid December 2010. Since I have only wore this wig twice, it is still in "like new" condition. If you are someone who wears the same wig occasionally, this wig should last you about a month with great wig care.

PROS: Hair is very soft, lace top lays flat for a natural hairline appearance, great wig for the value, very minimal shedding.

CONS: Color runs darker (#2 looked more like a #1b), wig cap is very tight, front comb is too long, you must pull some of your own hair out for a natural appearance, curls easily tangle in back combs, curls are flat toward the top of the wig giving a "helmet" looking affect.

Louisiana Crunch Cake With Vanilla Almond Glaze

Cake:
3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. (2 sticks) butter...softened
1/4 c. sour cream
4 large eggs...room temp.
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. white granulated sugar
1/4 c. sweetened coconut flakes

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees...Have a non stick tube cake pan ready.
In a medium bowl sift together cake flour, salt, baking powder and soda...Set aside.
Beat softened butter and sugar together until very fluffy (about 5 minuets). Mix in sour cream. Add eggs one at a time and beat until mixture becomes light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract.
Add in buttermilk and the cake flour mixture in alternates and beat until fully combined (see video for example)
PLEASE DO NOT OVER BEAT OTHERWISE CAKE IS GOING TO BECOME ROCK HARD!!!
Thoroughly grease a non stick tube pan! If your pan in not a non stick pan, you will need to grease and flour it.
Add approx 1/4 cup of granulated sugar to the pan, and tap around the sides and bottom until evenly coated. Sprinkle coconut flakes to the bottom of pan...You may add more or less coconut, its totally up to you. Pour in batter. Bake for 50 minuets to an hour, or until a wooden skewer inserted into cake comes out clean. DO NOT OVER BAKE!!!!! Otherwise cake will become dry. Once cake is finished baking, remove from pan and let cool.

Vanilla Almond Glaze:
2 c. powdered sugar
4 tbs. butter...melted
4 tbs. canned evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Whisk together powdered sugar butter and milk. Add vanilla extract and almond extract and mix. Add more milk for a thinner consistency.
Drizzle glaze over cake and let set for 10 minuets.
Serves about 8-10.

PROS: Futura Fibers, Can be flat ironed up to 400 degrees F, very soft, has nice layers, snug fit, comfortable combs, very versatile, nice length great value.

I was given the opportunity to try out this very popular 100% natural Virgin Coconut Oil Gold Label Tropical Traditions! Firstly, I was very impressed by the nature of this product!
Coconut oil has been used for hair treatment in coconut producing countries such as India and the Philippines for thousands of years. Studies in India have been done on how effective various oils are on treating damaged hair. The study compared mineral oil, sunflower oil, and coconut oil because these were the three most commonly used oils in hair treatment products used in India. The effects with use of Coconut Oils: Coconut oil is used as a natural conditioner for hair. The molecular structure of coconut oil makes it easier to penetrate through the hair shaft and works with the natural hair proteins. Coconut oil is also used to treat conditions like dry scalp or fungal conditions like seborrhea dermatitis that cause itchy flakes.

My review and 2 month results from the use of Tropical Tradition Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil: Before using The Tropical Tradition Virgin Coconut Oil, I was on a religious regimen with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Using the Olive oil, I was seeing great results! My hair was shinier than normal, my scalp wasn't getting dry and itchy like normally, the olive oil was a great sealer for my hair excellent for addition with any type of conditioner, great as a hot oil treatment. I was very happy with my EVOO!

I didn't quite know the difference between the benefits of EVOO and Virgin Coconut Oil until I was able to try it out and learn for myself. I started using my VCO about 2 months ago. Adding the oil to my scalp with stimulating massages, to my hair as a hot oil treatment, to my hair as a pre-poo and to my hair as a sealer, I then noticed a slight difference. The dandruff that I would always come into contact with was eliminated, my hair was growing more than Ive noticed before hand, the growth that was being promoted was thicker and shiner, it help somewhat repair my damaged hair (however, damaged hair is damaged hair. I believe in getting rid of it completely rather than salvaging it), it worked very well as a pre-poo, great as a addition to conditioners as a DC or co-wash, I loved how it sealed in my moisturizer and held it there very well! I am a new fan of this Virgin Coconut Oil!

PROS: Excellent addition to conditioners and co-washes, smells very good, able to use as a liquid or solidified, promotes growth, leaves hair very shiny, eliminates dry flaky scalps, does well on skin, penetrates into the scalp with stimulation, seals in moisture adding shine.

CONS: Bottle doesn't close tight enough, wish product was in a easier to handle bottle, wish mouth of the bottle wasn't so wide (difficult to pour into a different application bottle)

I purchased this wig from Especiallyyours.com in the color #4 however, I did dye the color. This wig is 100% human hair, Yaki texture, 12" long, straight with no layers. This hairstyle mimics a bob however, doesn't completely look like it. I started wearing this wig in Mid September 2010 and with a few moments of wear I couldn't deal with it. If you are someone who enjoys this type of texture, it may last you 2-3 weeks with non continuous wear. If you are someone who wear the same wig often, this may not be for you.

PROS: Good concept, great for those who are natural.

CONS: Weft clips pull at edges, painful taking the wig off, cap extremely over sized and bulky, poor construction, hair texture is very hard, color is off, cut is horrible, over priced.

Cheese Steak Quesadilla

What you will need:
2Lbs of Top Sirloin thinly sliced
Cheddar Cheese, Jack Cheese, Cotija Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese (Whatever you like)
Large Flour Tortillas
Large Green Bell Pepper
Yellow Onion
Seasonings of your choice
Oil

Slice up top sirloin meat into small cutlets. Place in hot skillet with seasonings and cook for about 5 minutes or until meat reaches your preference.
Remove meat from skillet, then thinly slice onions and bell peppers. Saute them in the same hot skillet for about 3-4 minutes or until translucent in color. Adjust heat.
Replace meat back in warm skillet with peppers adding more seasonings if needed. Stir until desired doneness.
Take large flour tortillas then start adding as much cheese as you want. Now add the meat/veggie mixture.
Place about a tbsp of oil in hot skillet, then place quesadilla also into skillet grilling it on each side for about 2 minutes or until tortilla is crispy and golden in color and cheese is melted thoroughly.
Once all of your quesadillas is made, ENJOY!!!
Serve with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, beans, rice or enjoy by itself. Let us know how it came out!!!

If you are someone who plans on having this weave installed, it may last you about 2-3 weeks with great hair care.

Pros: Reasonable priced, very soft, looks very natural (not as shiny as pictured), can be flat ironed (up to 400*F, but you might want to rethink putting that much heat on synthetic hair), waves up with a little wrap mousse or water last a decent amount of time for the quality.

CONS: Tangles, sheds, once straightened no longer waves back up, colors run darker.

With moderate wear and great wig care, this wig lasted for about 1-2 months. If you are somebody who wears the same wig everyday, this wig may last you a 2-4 weeks with great wig care.

PROS: Very soft, easy to blend, adjustable straps, decent length combs, natural looking, nice length, good quality hair, doesn't shed a lot.

CONS: Shiny, a little loose, mattes at nape, tangles with continuous combing.

I first started wearing this wig in Summer 2008. With continuous wear and moderate wig care, this wig lasted about 1 month. If you are somebody who doesn't wear the same wig everyday, this wig may last about 2 months with great wig care.

PROS: Mono top, good fit, versatile, nice length, runs true to color.

CONS: Tangles, sheds, mattes at nape, very shiny, very synthetic looking, cone head top, hair becomes "sticky" with excessive combing.

CONS: Sheds, tangles at nape, can become fluffy with continuous finger combing.

PROS: Very soft, Light weight, Drawstring provided for ponytail use, decent size combs, nice layers.

CONS: Very thin, ability to see wig wefts due to light density, color ran darker, sheds, tangles easily, mattes at nape area, shiny, hair will matte if combed excessively, model photo misleading.

This wig was purchased from a seller on eBay.com. I received this wig in the color #1. 100% Indian Remy Human Hair. The hair was 14" in length, but had layers cut in the unit. The hair was Yaki Straight. Full french lace with bleached knots and stretch panel. Hair also was provided with baby hairs. I purchased this wig in Winter 09. It lasted about 4 months with continuous wear and great wig care. If you are someone who doesn't wear the same wig continuously, it may last for 6 months with great wig care.

PROS: Well manageable, soft texture, lasted for a long time, ran true to color, easy to part anywhere, realistic hairline, light wight, decent density, bleached double knots, decent amount of baby hairs, easy to care for.

CONS: Lace will rip easily, tangled at nape, hair will shed unless knots have been sealed, smelled funny upon receiving.

PROS: Ran true to color, very soft, very nice style, light weight.

CONS: Tangled easily, layers flipped up instead of curling back on one side, shedding, cap very bulky, hair thin, shiny, **Believed this wig may have been defective upon purchase.

I purchased this wig from PrimeTimeBeauty.com. I received this wig in the color sf-1b/33/27. This wig is about 18" in a spiral/springy, semi loose/roller set curl. I purchased this wig in early November. Ive only wore this wig once. This wig was given away, but I will suggest 2-4 weeks of non continuous wear and great wig care. If you are somebody who wears the same wig everyday, this wig may last you up to 1-2 weeks with great wig care.

PROS: Ran true to color, cap fit decent, very soft.

CONS: Very bouncy, very stringy, frizzes once finger combed, thin volume, stretches like a slinky, tangles. (What Ive noticed with one day of wear) A COMPLETE WASTE IN MY OPINION!

PROS: Runs true to color, natural looking fibers, can be easily restyled, has adjustable straps. has a secure fit cap.

CONS: Doesn't last very long, is much longer then pictured, lace color is black, tangles and frizzes, lace very hard and itchy, states "natural hairline" however it's not natural what so ever, not very soft.

PROS: It last for a very long time, held curl pattern, light weight, very soft, easy manageable, shedding was minimal, decent size combs, adjustable hooks.

Cons: Color ran darker, loose fit, bulky on top, tangling at nape.

PROS: Very soft, true to color, decent length, interior combs decent, drawstring/ponytail option, easy to blend, natural looking, last for a decent amount of time, fits snug.

CONS: Tangles at nape from humidity, sheds a lot, curls will drop.
